At the TTS Nigeria Program, safeguarding means preventing and responding to harm associated with our people, participants, activities and relationships
We have zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment in any form or setting connected to the program, including training sessions
This includes sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (PSEAH), gender-based violence, bullying, discrimination, digital harm, threats to participant safety and misuse of program resources
Every participant has the right to a safe, dignified, and respectful environment, free from exploitation, abuse, harassment, and discrimination. Participants also have the right to know how to raise a concern, including anonymously, without fear of losing their place in the program. Concerns raised should be taken seriously, handled promptly and kept confidential, with information shared only with those who need it to respond.
Every participant has the right to an environment free from exploitation, abuse, harassment and discrimination
You can raise a concern without giving your name, and without fear of losing your place in the program
Good-faith reports are protected from retaliation, and concerns are kept confidential
Report a Concern
You do not need evidence, witnesses, or certainty before reporting a concern. This includes concerns about sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment, grooming or boundary violations, bullying, discrimination, digital harm, fraud, corruption or misuse of the TTS Nigeria Program resources. Good-faith reports are protected from retaliation.
Reports can be made through whichever channel is safest and easiest for you. Anonymous reports are accepted.
If your concern involves the Safeguarding Lead, please report directly to safeguarding@ttsnigeria.org and/or monitoring@ttsnigeria.org so the concern can be handled through an alternative route
Your report will be acknowledged, assessed for urgency and handled confidentially by the TTS Nigeria Program safeguarding team. Where someone may be in immediate danger, appropriate action will be taken urgently. Lower-level concerns may receive a response within a matter of days. You may be asked to provide information or cooperate with a review, but the safeguarding process is managed by TTS Nigeria.
For concerns involving a child encountered during community or program activities, the same safeguarding principles and reporting channels apply. The TTS Nigeria Program also applies safeguarding standards to digital spaces, including WhatsApp groups, messaging platforms and virtual training sessions.
If something does not feel right, you can report it. You do not have to handle it alone
